Unless you live under a rock or go to a school that does not have a football team or just simply don't care about sport, you obviously know that Ohio State is now ranked number one in the AP Top 25. Yes, that's great and all, who doesn't want to be #1? But I really don't want to be ranked so high. Let's be ranked second again, okay?
Being ranked #1 is really the only reason I title the post the name I did. I'm not going to say that I'm trying to link football to a giant metaphor of my life right now. Seriously, I'm not that clever. I will say though that this week is going to be one of the best weeks in a long time! Tomorrow (besides my calc midterm) I get to see Muse and Metric at the Schott! SOSOSOSOSOSOOOOOOO PUMPED! Plus the tickets were only $30 (thanks D-Tix!) compared to $100+ in Chicago. And then on Thursday with my mentor I am going to take a belaying class so I can become certified to do the ropes when people rock climb (plus I can use OSU's rock wall whenever I want then!). Friday I get to go to the Bluejackets home opener against none other than the Blackhawks! It'll be a blast because I found a group of Blackhawks fans on campus so we're going to be singing Chelsea Dagger after goals. It'll be great. To cap off the fun week, my dad will be coming down for parents weekend (plus Alex will be up from Cincy)! So it will be a fun week, but super busy.
Since the week is so busy I don't have time to write anything super lengthy at the moment. But the past week went by really fast. I got major sunburn at the game on Saturday and now my face is really red :( Oh, and yesterday was the start of the intramural flag football season. Ughh, do not get me started on the rules; they are very patronizing and degrading towards women. It wasn't the best of times. Plus the team we played was wayyyy too into it and name calling was thrown around (a lot towards me now that I think of it). But I will say we have the best team name: Hide Yo Kids Hide Yo Wife. Yes, we are the ENR Scholar team, but who needs to be called ENR Scholars?
Right now I am in the middle of download Inventor for my computer, which is basically a really expensive CAD program that I need for engineering and it is designed for a PC. So this might be the only time someone will hear me say I wish I had a PC at the moment. It's taking 3+ hours to download (but that's with every system) and hopefully it works. But I get it for free through Ohio State and I can use it for the next three years. It's actually a pretty sweet program but right now I just need it to download! AHHH!
Okay, gotta study for my midterm tomorrow.
(I will leave you with the awesome video)
